Mel Mutterspaugh (Mountain Mel) is a clinical herbalist and educator with over 25 years of experience studying and working with medicinal plants. She has taught herbal medicine since 2011 and has supported thousands of people through education, product formulation, and one-on-one guidance.

She is the founder of The Herbalist’s Path, an education platform and podcast devoted to helping herbalists understand not just what herbs do, but why they work, and how to apply them thoughtfully with real people.

Her teaching blends traditional plant wisdom with modern clinical understanding, shaped by years of building and running an herbal product line and community apothecary.
